One of the most complex entities of the universe is the brain. The billions of neurons have given humans the ability to completely transform the planet, through science as well as technology. Given that there is knowledge depicting over 10 trillion habitable planets, it is only normal to wonder whether humanity is the only life form to exist in the universe. Thanks to Melodysheep, we are able to get a visual of how civilization is bound to look like when we are finally able to make contact with an alien life form.
This particular curiosity is not only driven by science, but also by a greater force that pushes us to connect with something greater than us. If humans are able to discover aliens in the universe, the entire trajectory of our existence would become redefined. There is a great possibility that alien intelligence can be detected thousands of light-years away, making them potentially easier to locate. Making contact with them has however been the hardest part, given that their distance between planets, let alone galaxies, is thousands of light-years.
The Outer Space
There is more than one way to communicate in outer space. This is because media such as sound does not travel as effectively as it does on earth. Radio waves are a great way of communicating given that the waves are able to travel freely through the air, but are still not powerful enough to reach any form of life beyond 3. Laser technology however shows great promise given that it can carry far more data per second compared to radio.
Asteroids have been the main indicator of any alien mining activity. Unfortunately, asteroids might not be enough. Given that our civilization is so new, any other form of intelligent life is likely far more advanced than us. Therefore we should reveal our presence with caution. Thanks again to Melodysheep, we are able to get a visual of how civilization is bound to look like when we are finally able to make contact with an alien life form.
