Have you recently tried to convert your profile to a page only to get the following notice?
“This Content Isn’t Available Right Now. When this happens, it’s usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it’s been deleted.”
It appears this feature is no longer supported, you now must have a profile to create a Page or help manage one. According to Facebook, “Pages are places on Facebook where artists, public figures, businesses, brands, organizations, and nonprofits can connect with their fans or customers.” When someone likes or follows a Page on Facebook, they can start seeing updates from that Page in their News Feed.
What does this mean? Your profile should be dedicated to your friends and relatives. Unfortunately, you will need to create a page and manage it with your profile. I have also learned that verified accounts with badges on the platform can only be one, even if you manage your page with your profile. However, you can request Facebook to verify your profile by submitting another request but you will lose verification on your page before the badge is transferred to your profile because there can be only one verified presence for a single person or organization.
It would be neat for Facebook to incorporate the option to merge profiles and pages where you can select group of people that like your page as friends and have exclusive posts dedicated to them in one place.
